Getting to San Juan
JetBlue has a major hub in San Juan and offers nonstop flights from many cities. Flights from the Northeast to San Juan take about 3 to 3.5 hours, with fares ranging from $300 to over $900 if booked last minute.
Conveniently, United has hubs in New Jersey and D.C., where most of our friends and family are based. That’s why we’ve arranged a special discount with them—see below for details!
Returning Home - San Juan (SJU) Airport
As your trip comes to an end (we hope you had an amazing time! Here are a few things to keep in mind for your return flight:
Allow Extra Time at SJU: Security lines at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) can be long, especially during peak hours. We recommend arriving at least 2.5 to 3 hours before your flight to ensure a smooth departure.
Agriculture Rules: Puerto Rico has strict USDA regulations to protect the mainland’s ecosystem. Before heading to security, all checked bags must go through an agricultural inspection—look for the kiosks near the airline check-in counters. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and certain plant-based souvenirs may not be allowed, so double-check before packing to avoid surprises.
Safe travels, and thank you for celebrating with us!
