Wedding Update: Room Block, Childcare, and Weekend Events

Hi friends and family,
We’re so excited the countdown has officially begun! 🎉 Invitations are out—and by now, you should have received yours. If not, let us know!
Otherwise, please don’t forget to RSVP by August 1. We know we’re on the early side, but with this being a destination wedding, early planning helps everyone (including us!).
🏨 Where to Stay
We have two hotel blocks available:
1. Hotel El Convento (our main venue!)This beautiful, historic hotel is either onsite or walking distance to all events.
Rates start at $409/night
Booking deadline: June 21, 2025
Flexible: You won’t be locked in until June—either we or the hotel will reach out to finalize bookings.
One-night cancellation policy
2. San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris CasinoA beachfront hotel just a 10-minute Uber ride from the wedding events.
Rates start at $349/night
Courtesy block: No cancellation penalty, but the special rate is based on availability and could disappear anytime.
Airbnb is also a great option—especially for families or groups looking for more space and value.
👶 Families & Childcare
Our ceremony and reception are adult-only, with the exception of our nieces and nephews who are part of the wedding. We wish we had room for more, but space is limited at the venues. That said, we absolutely love the idea of you turning this into a family vacation!
We’ve been connected with trusted local childcare providers, recommended by our wedding planner and hotel. You can find details on our website under the "Child Care" section, also on the travel page.

In addition to the main wedding RSVP, please RSVP individually to these events so we can plan accordingly:
Welcome Cocktail – Friday, Feb 6Start the weekend with a drink at La Factoría, just a few blocks from El Convento in Old San Juan.Yes, it’s that bar from Luis Fonsi’s "Despacito" video with Justin Bieber!Everyone is welcome—even if they’re not attending the wedding. Just RSVP to save your spot—space is limited.
Farewell Brunch – Sunday, Feb 9 (10am–1pm)Join us for a relaxed send-off on El Convento’s outdoor patio.Drop in anytime and stay as long (or as little) as you’d like. We’ll have a hot brunch buffet to help you refuel before travel—or before your next beach day. Please RSVP to reserve your spot.
We know, we know… multiple RSVPs! 😅 But with high demand and vendor logistics in Puerto Rico, headcounts are essential for everything from food to drinks to space. Your RSVPs help us make sure you’re well taken care of wherever you join us.
✈️ United Airlines Discount
We’re still waiting for United to release their 2026 fare contracts—they’ve promised it’ll be ready this month. As soon as we have the link, we’ll post it on the website. Expect a 2%–10% tiered discount, depending on your fare. In the meantime, if you see a good deal, feel free to grab it!
